This breathtaking scenic spot in Setonaikai National Park was given its name as it is said to resemble an eagle unfurling its wings. This is a perfect place to see the whole Seto Ohashi Bridge spanning the various small islands that dot the serene Seto Inland Sea.
Ojigadake Hill is home to a rich variety of strangely shaped and precariously positioned granite rocks that are strewn across the hill’s surface. The view from the Ojigadake Park Center at the hill’s summit is truly picture perfect as you gaze out across the Bisan-Seto area of the Seto Inland Sea with the Chugoku mountain range forming a picturesque backdrop.
This roadside station is next to flower meadows that change with the four seasons, including sunflowers (1 million), cosmos flowers, and canola flowers (10 million). Popular purchases are locally grown fruit and vegetables, and soft-serve ice cream made from local milk and grapes. You can also enjoy a buffet meal.
This limestone gorge runs for a total distance of about 2 km. Here you can see the natural landscape at its best, including waterfalls, limestone caves, and strange, large, misshapen rocks known as hayama-decken. The rocky scenery is further enhanced in spring by fresh new greenery, and in autumn by the burnished colors of the changing leaves.

The Hiruzen Three Peaks are part of the Daisen volcanic zone reaching up to 1,100 m in height with a large tholoid-type (lava dome) structure. The mountain side and surroundings of Mt. Kamihiruzen are used as grazing pastures for cattle, creating a vast and idyllic landscape.
The Kishiro Residence, which also functioned as the wakihonjin, or administrator’s sub-lodging house, was built in the 19th century. At the entrance, you can still see a ring for tying up horses and also a sword rack in the restroom. The key attraction here is the 137 gaisen cherry trees. The water channels and brooks of the town where carp can be seen swimming have been selected as one of the 100 Soundscapes of Japan.
With a total length of 765 m, the Bizen♡Hinase Bridge links Bizen-Hinase Town with Kakuijima Island. From the bridge, you can see a sight unique to Hinase; countless oyster rafts bobbing in the sea.
Okutsukei Valley runs for approximately 3 km, featuring a vast array of enormous rocks, waterfalls, and pools that have been formed by the erosion of the granite gorge in the Okutsu River upstream of the Yoshii River. The eight famous sights of the valley include the Usubuchi churn holes, the Tengu-iwa Rock and the Ayugaeri-no-Taki Falls, and also the famous pothole in the riverbed known as Ouketsu. Whether during the fresh green spring season, or in the midst of the golden autumn leaves, there are always beautiful sights to take in.
From its birch and larch forests to Lake Ombara, this highland region is brimming with the power of nature and offers various opportunities for outdoor activities, including camping, ground golf, cycling, fishing, and skiing in winter. At an elevation of 700 m, the red and gold autumn leaves by the shores of Lake Ombara are an unforgettable sight.
Located in Hiruzen-nishikayabe in Maniwa City with views of the Hiruzen Three Peaks, this facility was created to promote exchange with people from urban areas through plants. In the second-floor studio in the House of Fragrance, it is possible to try your hand at wreath-making.
